When someone mentions ‘doing the bump’ I automatically hear the 1975 disco hit Lady Bump.  I know that probably dates me a little, however let me show you how up to date I really am by telling you what doing the Bump is these days and how YOU can use it as a very cool business networking tool!

You see doing the Bump these days requires some smart technology rather than disco rhythms.

So what is Bump?

Bump is an application created by Bump Technologies for the Apple iOS  and  Android operating systems (so for smart phones and tablet devises). It allows two smart phone users to bump their phones together to exchange contact information, photos, and other objects between phones.

If you were to pop over to the app store you would find this description of Bump™  - to share contact information and photos by simply bumping two phones together. Just open Bump, hold your phones, and gently bump your hands together — Bump will magically do all the rest.

However this does no justice to the scope of BUMP as a business tool. This smart technology allows you to exchange important contact information on the spot without the need for a physical business card exchange.  Lets face it a standard business card only holds a limited amount of content and can be easily lots or misplaced. Exchanging details and storing them on your smart phone allows for easy follow-up contact to be made.
